Soldering Smoke Fan...

Been meaning to post this every time I'm soldering but forget.  Got one of these...

... a couple years ago and love it.  No more fumes in my face all the time and don't need a fan blowing on me.  I solder 2-3 times further away than shown in the image and it still draws the smoke away.  I feel a lot better health wise using it vs. the situation that has gone on for years.  Pondered spending the money on it but no regrets.  A description...

( HERE )

... and you can find them a number of places.

I've often pondered getting something like that - especially when working on one of my computer kits where I might be doing a hundred or so soldering connections and no matter what I do the the solder smoke streams directly to my face.  But I never knew if they worked or not and I always held off.  Until the next time I had a long soldering session.

Yes, works great.  I tin the ends of most wires I use off the side of the work bench and it pulls the fumes away at the distance shown above.

Just looked and at the moment one can find them for $10 less on eBay (I haven't used that seller myself)....
