I'll check the diameter of the wires that pulled out when I get to the club again on Wednesday.  I am guessing 12AWG from memory.  Plus the N-Trak Standard is for 30 amp Anderson Power Pole connectors.  But, I will make sure before I buy.  Can't get the tool and parts delivered before Wednesday, anyway.

While the standard calls for 30 amp connectors that is just the plastic ends. You have to use the correct amperage insert especially when using stuff like the blue and white kato wiring connectors that many use for their module connections. There is no way to get a good crimp on kato wire with a 30 amp insert. It is just physically too big. You have to use a 15 amp insert.

The color plastic shells/ends are not gauge specific.  Any 15A, 30A, 45A terminals that you crimp will fit into the plastic housings.

Actually there are specific amperage Anderson connectors that are not 30 amp plastic ends. I know I use some that are higher amperage. Like these:

I just happens that the 30 amp plastic housing accepts the 15, 30 and 45 amp inserts.

Sure, but I doubt that there will ever be a need for 75A or 6,8,10 gauge wires in model railroading.
