That HO Santa Fe 2-10-10-2... a locomotive that only lasted 5 years
I bet they'll sell a ***** load.
Little disappointed they didn't have an update on PRR steam in N scale.
Those utter lilly livered plank walking wombats are making a 2-10-10-2 in HO , I'm hoping it will be too specialized for N scale. I have 2 disassembled Bachmann 2-10-2's and am fine tuning a jig for the wheelbase engines and in a while there will be a shell. I was thinking of getting an EMD GP30 from Scale Trains next run but we shall see what the BLI versions look like
Scratchbuilding a 2-10-10-2 sounds like a full time job, Al. Looking forward to watching your progress. In terms of mass production, I also hope that BLI foregoes doing the 2-10-10-2 in N scale.Like the real life AT&SF, if BLI wants to make a new loco, I would MUCH rather have two 2-10-2's than one 2-10-10-2. The prototypes did not last long in the 2-10-10-2 configuration before Santa Fe cut them in half and added some spare parts to make Santa Fe-s.There is a reason why they call a 2-10-2 a "Santa Fe". Hopefully, when BLI does more ATSF steam, they will opt for giving us the 2-10-2, saving us the trouble of having to take a torch to one of those monsters.
Wouldn’t mind seeing an S1 or S2 making it to N scale. I have started building mine so it’s prime time for someone to make it by the time I finish my builds
