Walthers GP38-2 handrail

One of a pair I bought used to repaint into a familiar orange road scheme, I didn't notice a front handrail is missing    Given that there don't appear to be any Walthers/Life-like spares just yet, would a Kato handrail (cheap at $2) set fit with some modding?

Ironically it runs better than advertised!  I guess 'slow' equates to scale speed.  Does have a slightly long inertia build up on dc.

I do brass handrail fabrication, PM or email me if you want but they are fabricated ON the shell.

Kato handrails definitely won't work because they are molded into the side sill, plus they are a different phase. If you're missing the very front, the only matching model that uses the same anticlimber is the Atlas SD50, though the handrail thickness won't match.
 
If it's over the battery boxes, it's possible you could fudge things with an Atlas GP handrail set.

Could check with Atlas and see if they got any parts when they acquired the tooling. Can't remember if they have announced a run of the former LL/Walther's tooling GP38-2s yet.
