Man, very sad to hear this.   Pete and I had some awesome exchanges over the years, and I was always in awe of his ship modeling. (and MRR stuff too)   He was active in the Z forums and chats on and off but it's been probably a year or so since we last spoke.

Rest in peace, sir!
Doug

Sad to hear this.  I spoke to him once on the phone.  A very pleasant man.

I met Peter at one of our clubs N Scale Weekends several years ago as he had a table displaying his models. He was a joy to talk to and shared so much in that small amount of time we had. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Pete was a wonderful person and excellent modeler of ships. I had the pleasure of meeting Pete and had a nice conversation about ship modeling at the N Scale Collectors / Enthusiast meeting in Milwaukee several years ago. I really enjoyed and admired his work.

My condolences to his family.

That is a very sad news. Peter was a superb modeler, and a great all around guy.  His  scratchbuilt ships were really amazing.

IIRC, in a Railwire discussion we realized that we worked at the same company back in the '80s.  He was in the upper management while I was a computer tech.  It sure is a small world.

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing.  I bought one of his kits for a Baltimore Harbor cruise ship.  I built and painted it to resemble Chicago's First Lady, one of the sightseeing boats that travels the Chicago River.

While the kit was challenging, everything fit perfectly and was included with the kit and its well written instructions.  After reading his obituary I know now why those instructions were so good.

RIP, Peter.

Best regards,

Roger

I met Pete at a train show some years back. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable guy and a pleasure to see his talent though I never had a place for any of his kits.

RIP Peter Nolan.
