I found out via another forum that he passed away earlier this month. Big loss for those who still detail model. I posted up on here to cover all scales since he had castings for everything but Z.

Oh this is sad to hear.  He was very supportive of T-scale back a few years (before much 3D printing was being done at-home) and made a T-scale CN steel caboose cast in resin.  Somewhere I think I still have it...

Sad news. I've purchased several of his N scale parts over the years.

Didn't he live in Canada? I remember he would tape coins inside whatever I ordered as a refund for the exchange rate.

My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I only know him through his products, and some emails we exchanged about a couple of my projects. He was generous with advice and the parts he made were first rate.
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

It is very sad to hear this.  My condolences to his family.

Hopefully someone will continue or take over the business because it is probably the last one (or one of very few) sources of lost-wax brass castings of  small model RR items.  3-D printed small details like horns or similar items are too fragile to be viable.

Sorry to hear this.

I put an order in several weeks ago that I haven't received yet.  I hope the business continues in some fashion.

Couldn't have done my RS-2M without his spark arrestors. Thanks a million Eric, see you in another life brother!
