Then MT should be weathering theirs like that!   :D

Maybe @Gozer the Gozerian has some weathered releases up his sleeve...

Seriously man, thanks for the ATSF trailers hot on the heals of the SP and CR - hope we see some more.

There's a photo of that very N&W gon (311326) on railcar photos ...

I might pick that one up, though I guess these still ship with truck mounted couplers and seriously need lowering  :| ... decisions, decisions.

(I am willing to ignore the length issue)

Anybody have a good place to order MTL N-scale releases?  I've been using MBK and Lombard for the most part for N.  And (MBK aside) Lombard still isn't showing March releases.  Looked at N-Scale Supply and they have a weird "not add to cart" way of buying things so I'm leery of that.  (I recall in my previous N reign that N-Scale Supply didn't accept reservations if you used PayPal, and other idiosyncricies.)

I want the ATSF vans (and the TOFC car) and I feel like I'm going to miss out.  I didn't realize that Lombard was so delayed.

I've never had any problem with N Scale Supply.  The "add to cart" method is unusual, but also prevents accidentally clicking the button.  Just select and copy the part number, then paste it into the box on the order page, and press "ADD ITEM".  If you want more than one, change the number in that box.

Ugh. Thus far I've successfully avoided the MTL PS2s... guess that streak ends now.

How do I know whether to buy this TBOX or the one they come out with in two months?

Interestingly, while the last graffiti TBOX had the road number covered over, this one is clearly 'inspired by 'the prototype number while being nothing close to an actual copy.

I thought MTL had covered this previously and that we will never see another prototype graffiti again due to legal issues from the "creators".

Looks good to me since they included the patches over the graffiti which is neat. Already on preorder.

That is very interesting.  I would think that the "creators" wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on because I didn't think one could legally profit from a criminal activity...  Interesting indeed!

As I recall, we had a lengthy thread about this when MTL announced that they woudl nto be using prototypical graffiti on their weathered models. As I recalled, they didn't want to get into any lawsuits, so they decides to use their tags designed by their in house graphics team.

Hey, maybe MTL is collaborating with the taggers? Either way, we sure live in a strange and litigious society.

Joe explained they stopped doing actual prototype graffiti after losing a court case over copyright. Graffiti changes so much anyway it would be hard to pin down an exact date unless you have to have a certain car look a certain way because you are modeling a specific year.

I like the new prototypical appearance approach. My one complaint about the 50 foot RBOX schemes they did was each was so unusual as to be difficult to run in one train without the effect looking overdone. This car will blend right in to whatever consist or scene you put it in. As Phillip said, it's vanilla TBOX.  My wallet was afraid they might start doing this with this body style.
