Welp, they're doing it.   But they had to hit us with the tunnel motors and the reefers at the same time.

Gawd. At least two early SP snoots for me. Fond memories of watching them ply their wares around Tehachapi Loop.

...sigh...

This hobby sure ain't dying.

But a bunch of modelers wallets might be.

Do I need a tunnel motor? No.

Might I end up with one? Wouldn't surprise me...

Those tunnel motors look awesome!  But I am focusing on weathering up my ST C39-8...

Close enough.  That's a SD45T-2.

I wish Scale Trains well with their adventure. I saw the prototype of their SD40-2 a couple of years ago, Visually the best looking locomotive ever made in N scale.

Plus they are pushing their ownership? of Virtual Railfan with a new one rate subscription for $4.99/month, enhancements to the VR website, and I guess they are planning Roku/FireStick/Chrome apps to view the cameras.

Oh my, this is a triple whammy:

1. Reefers - cross another car off my top 5 list.  (When I first scrolled down the page I saw $66.99 each!  But that is a sound version.   Non-sound is much more reasonable: a dozen please.) $

2. Tunnel Motors - $$

2a. plus an entire fleet of 80/90s rolling stock.  $$$

Gonna have to think hard about 2.

Sometimes I kinda wish they HAD bought MBK just so they'd put themselves out of the misery.
