I saw some at the local hobby shop a few days ago. If they would of had the Great Northern version I would of bought them. They were very sharp looking, and in a flip-up type box that makes me think that there's a new factory out there. I don't know how they ran, though, as I didn't test one out. I for one am glad to see Intermountain making locos again. The more manufacturers at the party the better.

Perfect timing! I just sprung for F7 A and B units from BLI yesterday.

Like the ESU decoders. What roadnames are available now? Have they lowered the ride height? How much (afraid to ask)?
Otto K.

Well I looked up MSRP pricing on their website. I do like the idea of mixing ESU LokPilots with ESU sound units, have done that on some of my earlier installs to keep the price down. The pricing is what it is, a very sizable investment for an ABBA set....

I ordered a Big Sky Blue ABBA set, it should come in the next few days. A's with sound, B's with just DCC. It'll be interesting to see how they sit next to older IM releases.

Sure doesn't look like it. Glad I dumped my pre-orders now.

They seem to be very slow to hit the shop shelves.

they look lower; I can't tell if they are perfect though.  I need to take the model to my local 1:1 F unit and compare it.   The frame is completely different than the original models.  But they told me they purposely made sure the original bodies would fit.

A possible reason they are slow to be delivered is that every single one is being removed from the box and test run in the US.  No "shake it and if it rattles" inspections.

I've ordered one.

I would like to see what these look like without the shell.

I was looking on the Intermountain website to see which of the road numbers are in the first batch.

No offense to Alaska RR modelers but it strikes me as a rather niche choice to bring in first rather than BN or SF.

They made a huge deal about the lighting when I talked to them at the trains show and I haven't seen them show anything.  At least show the backup light.  :|

I need to go through my box of shells and see if what I have.  Might be worth it to pick up one or two for the chassis if any of the roadnames prove sufficiently unpopular to get marked down.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Alaska is big with the casual and international crowd. I guess partly contributed by the TV show and bold scheme.

WM units might be slow sellers due to paint being wrong.  SWMFs won't be shelling out big bucks after waiting so long to have them be wrong.  I'll let others explain if they wish
