Got my first 3D printed crossing signals and need help!

How do I get that mess of string off the model? I've seen nippers, heat guns, soldering irons...I didn't print them, from Etsy.

as well as the Xuron cutter that came with my printer - it's a bit larger than the Zoukei-Mura and I tend to use it down at the base of the supports rather than close to the model.

depends on what kind of a printer made those ... if a filament then probably nippers, if a resin printer was used maybe alcohol or bestine

Those signals look good, but they'll be fragile on the layout. Will have to be careful not to snag one by accident.

Oops yeah that is it. i usually do it before curing though. The parts are brittle after curing.

Straight toenail clippers work really well. You may want to snip the supports off the base so that the stiffness of the base does not create stresses into your models.

Sprue nippers and a VERY careful hand.

Finish up with needle files and sanding sticks to clean up the little nubs and blemishes at the support attachment points.

Alcohol is only used to clean off the liquid resin from the print when it comes off the printer. (As it's printed in a tank of liquid resin, the finished print will be dripping when you remove it from the printer.) Not "strings", print supports, or anything else solid attached to the model.

I would also suggest removing the supports from the sled first if you've already cured. Prevents the pressure of the nippers from damaging neighboring parts.
