This is sad news indeed.   :(   Thank you for everything you've done Mike, hopefully the Altoona Weekend is in good hands to continue for many years to come

Man, horrible news!  It won't be the same without Mike.  :(

We will have to dedicate this year's Weekend to Mike!

Shocked.... we lost a good man. He provided a venue for us to enjoy N scale and, more importantly, EACH OTHER. RIP....

Good man and good friend, we worked together a lot over the years on the shows.   I think this was his proudest moment, front page, 2018.

I'm glad to see that it's still named after him and hopefully will be in some way.

Mike was a trail blazer in the N-Scale show arena. The N-Scale Weekend he started in Bedford and moved to Altoona, PA was a great event celebrating N-Scale. The ultimate flattery was that it was copied! I first attended the N-Scale Weekend late in the process but was a faithful attendee, ending up coordinating hr combined T-TRAK layout for Mike, and then the AAMR. We ended last year on a high note with Mike in attendance. 2023 will be even better and I hope dedicated to Mike's memory. Rest in peace Mike.

Randy, 2018 was a great show.  It was the first Weekend I attended and it was such a blast.  Mike would hand me the mic with no fear as I was trying to wrangle all the  :ashat: s for a group photo.  That photo is actually a TRW banner now.  Mike was making sure I was having a great time at my first Weekend.

The best moment I remembered was the raffle prizes at the end of the show.  It seemed like everyone won something to take home.  It was like being on Oprah, "You get a car!  And you get a car!  And you get a car!"

I was glad last year he made it to the major league as the show got to the Blair County Convention Center!

RIP Mike.  All of us will miss you!

Hi, Brian is in the maroon shirt and Mike in blue. Just found out that Mike is going to be with his wife Peggy in heaven, per his wishes. Thank you all for your prayers ! God bless. Brian

Thanks for the correction.  I just got home and was heading to the den to look that up.  Thanks also for letting us know another chapter of N scale history is closed.
Rest in peace, Mike.

This is sad news. I remember my 1st Bedford trip like it was yesterday. And Mike was always happy to help us with questions and guidance when a conversation he and our late club president had that trip led to us putting on our weekend event in Ohio.
Rest in peace Mike.

Terrible news. He was a great guy. He wanted to go out and buy a new Mustang after he saw and took a ride in mine. Although his eyesight was starting to change for the worse.
I was invited to his house to see his layout. It was nice.
Rest in peace my friend.
