This looks great!

Can I ask what process you did with the water? I have a port scene with water that goes to the edge of the layout as well. Not really wanting to go the resin route, if I can help it.

Thanks!  Here’s the page from my build thread back when I finished the lake.  Scroll about halfway down the page.  In short, it’s a painted lake bottom, followed by a couple of coats of Gel Gloss Medium.  In other words, it’s just paint and no resin.

More 3d printing fun for me. Now we have a sport cab version of the 3800 class 2-10-2. Also threw a little paint on to check on the layering.

OK, thanks!

I will pour thru the pages a little later, but what precisely did you use as a "gel gloss medium".

All the track in Jasper is laid now.  Wiring and servos are up next.

They're complete foobies. CR actually tossed around the idea for GP60s with EMD, but they never came to fruition. I decided to run with the idea one day and figured might as well do B units as I'm at it.

From what I've heard, CR had ordered GP60Ms and Bs, but with the split approaching, NS had the order cancelled and SD70s ordered in their place. Could have also been 70MACs or 80MACs also

That was the 80macs. Conrail had more on order but with split about to happen both CSX and NS changed them to SD70s. CSX went SD70MAC and NS went sd70 standard cab.

Got back from out-of-town and had to JFRTM!

My temporary floor layout is meant to be compressed fictional NY Penn...  Here is an action shot from a busy afternoon:

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I have my P5a's acting as terminal/coach yard switching instead of B1 electrics... My eventual idea is to obtain several Kato JNR ED19's (Built by Westinghouse in the Twenties) to take this job.  I'll paint them DGLE with the logo of the terminal company that I will use to fictionalize NYP, called the Gotham Union Terminal Company.

Essentially my floor layout is a giant thru-station and adjoining coach yard connected to a 4-track loop to simulate the Corridor.  I usually run 3 trains continuously while switching cars based on a 1955 PRR consist book for the NY Division.

If its going to be up for any substantial length of time I suggest putting a thin piece of ply under that. Even with roadbed track the fibers will obliterate your gearing pretty quick.
