Did I see a note somewhere that the metal wheels are a new turned wheel, instead of the cast ones available previously?  Any details on these?

Possible to body-mount TSC long-shank without major surgery? (I.e., is the coupler box NOT integrated into the frame casting?)

Let's see.  At one road name and number released every six months, at best, how many years will it take to get a couple of them in a road I want ?

That's a great news!  Nowadays the "standard" for metal wheels seems to be machine turned nickel-silver or brass.

I was not a fan of the "new" MTL cast white-metal wheels on plastic axles.  It seemed like Micro-Trains has gone back to their roots, since that's the way original Kadee Micro-trains Line N scale wheelsets were constructed.  Those original wheelsets IMO had a smoother finish, and better looking blackening than the recent wheels.  Judging by how quickly they are being deprecated, others probably felt the same way about them.

@MTLJoe these look great and considering the time and effort gone in to them, is there any chance you'd consider tooling the other body type with the channel end posts?

I hope so!

I do like the cut lever preinstalled. That's a nice touch.

Did I remember reading that these were setup to be easily turned into ballast cars too?

I'm sure you know that the SP had these in numerous color schemes...BCR w white lettering, grey with black lettering, SOUP (billboard lettering, see attachment, called SOUP because the SOUP lettering is in center of car) in yellow, red, and black with and without circle herald, and straight billboard lettering...hint hint.

Need more, I got em!
