SuperTree shortages

I noticed today at the LHS I work at, they have put a sign on the shelf where our SuperTree boxes are usually located.  " SuperTrees are out of stock from supplier, with no known restock date at this time"

Hope no one needs any for a while

Whoa!  Guess I better protect my stock.  I tried to place an order from Scenic Express a few weeks ago, and it seems that a number of scenery items are out of stock with no timeline for production.  I couldn’t get the SuperLeaf product that I use for kudzu.  I had to go to the internet and find some lying around at a hobby shop in Canada.  Shipping crushed me, but I had no choice.

Think Scenic Express recently moved and is no longer in PA. Could just be taking them a while to get set back up.

Let's hope!

This is also why my gifted layouts always come without trees.

I wonder if hemp plants make good scenic materials ..  8) 8)

Nope.  Smoke 'em, if you got 'em!

you can smoke the rejects.   LOL    True story.  A friend of mine who recently passed was working on various methods of creating Gum trees and found some cool plants during his wanderings in the hills around his home.  I visited a few weeks later and he proudly showed me his new creations.  They looked familiar...seems he had wandered onto a hidden  grow and picked a bunch of Pot and did a great job of fashioning the plants into remarkably authentic looking trees...seed and all.  LOL.  Never had the heart to tell him and hoped that one of his friends, who was a county sheriff, never got around to visiting his layout.  LOL

Appears ST materials are back in stock so if you've been holding off time to start building trees again

Eh, I'm happy to let Scenic Express do the prep work for me. Besides, I like rewarding them for the innovation. I couldn't do what I do if they didn't do what they do, so I feel like they deserve a few bucks for the effort.

The problem of growing them myself would be the time involved to grow the plants, and I’d need a freaking garden!  :P
