I just ordered a box of these smaller screws 1mm to 1.6mm (2500 pcs) from Amazon $11!!!

Sounds like a 1.0mm screw will clear the hole now. A 1.2mm is a dead ringer for the 00-90 screws.

The screwdriver to use with these is a 000PH. I hope that helps.

I have purchased just such assortments in both machine screw threads and nuts as well as self tapping screws.  And they are a bargain compared to purchasing a few of the size needed , IF you can even find them.  All are very useful around this small work.

A tap is also worth having for the machine screw threads.  Also handy is a small screwdriver style nut driver (2mm hex) for the miniature nuts.  It seems that the various miniature screw thread sizes all utilize 2mm hex bar for the mating nuts.  And don't forget the proper tap and clearance drill sizes.  Screws this small require pretty accurate size holes as a few thousandths is a large percent of the available material for threads or bearing area under the small screw heads.

BTW, the self tapping screws use the same size hole as the tap drill for the equivalent machine screw thread.  They readily thread into soft metal or plastic and work surprisingly well.

I've bought these, and good luck with them. The screw head fits flush in the 1015/1016 coupler box.

Shipping takes a bit, but for the cost, I figured it is worth it for the quantity.

Ordinary 00-90 flathead screws will work fine in the 1025 boxes, if you countersink the hole.  I use a 3/32 inch drill bit, BY HAND, twirling it between my fingers.  You don't want it to really dig in, and start drilling, just scrape the hole out.  Haven't damaged a box yet, and the extra clearance is useful.

A jeweler's reamer will open up the hole in the MT couplers, where a drill bit will just deflect the slippery plastic.
A round diamond jeweler's file also works.  It is tapered, but this hole is not that critical. Just twirl the diamond file in the hole from both sides.

I just put the screw in the box with a screwdriver, then screw it to the car.  They work fine, and saves enlarging the hole.  I do countersink all of them, though, so I can use flathead screws.
