Keystone Customs announces Speaker Enclosures!

Keystone Customs announces four new speaker enclosures for DCC READY ONLY Kato EMD E and F units and Alco PA and Rapido FL9 units.

The huge enclosures mount atop the diaphragm frame on an 11mm X 15mm X 3.5mmp high speaker (linked in the product pages). The idea comes from @Scott Lupia so I cannot take credit. Three styles are sold in three packs, one style is a two pack and all are printed in FUD for a great price point value.

The enclosures include a rear LED wire channel on the top that is wide enough to glue in an 0402 LED to light a rear backup light.

Instructions and chassis milling dimensions will follow at a later date.

Nice!  Which sound decoder is being used in that Kato unit? Soundtraxx?

Ok, thanks.  Now that I think about that, Soundtraxx is the only one making that style of sound decoder.  I'm still hoping for ESU or ZIMO to come out with that size drop-in decoder for all the Kato locos using that light board.

BTW, using standard nomenclature, the SMD LED size is 0604 not 0406

In the photo an ESU 58828 clipped into a WD adaptor board via the NEX18 plug is being used.  I also used the Tsunami KN1 decoder.  I prefer the ESU decoders so I can alter the sound files though.

Nice product.

Just a heads up, this page has one title (and file name) but the wrong text.

Thanks Scott!  I forgot about those adapter boards.   I also prefer ESU to Soundtraxx Tsunamis.
