I finally relented and bought a Photon Mono during that last Amazon lightning sale. I haven’t set it up yet, maybe over the last week of the year when I have some time off from work. But I have been doing some prep work in setting models up to print.
The included Anycubic Slicer software won’t work for me. The #23 version included won’t display the imported STLs in the work area, and my various hardware/graphic cards are too old to install the latest version #29. So I’ve installed Chitubox-64 and that appears to be working well. I have a virtual Windows 10 machine running in VMWare Workstation just for 3D designing that houses SolidWorks, Netfabb and Meshlab. I was able to configure the settings based on the Photon Mono settings in Anycubic Slicer and one of the export formats is the Anycubic Mono format. The free basic version has all of the functionality and features of the Anycubic software, so I feel I’m set regarding build files. We’ll see what the first results are in a couple of weeks.
