Steam engines from Broadway Limited for 2022

Hey folks, I have been trading some emails with Broadway Limited regarding their upcoming steam engine release schedule.  According to the rep, here is what Broadway Limited plans to release in N scale in 2022:

1.  Second run of N USRA Pacific
2.  First run of UP Big Boy
3.  First run of N&W Y6b
4.  First run of Reading T1.

He also said that the PRR H10 was slated for 2022, but will probably be in 2023 given the manufacturing and shipping delays we are now seeing.  Just thought I would pass this along.  Looks like next year is going to be very good for N scale steam releases.

Aw, jeez.   More engines I want and don't really have a good use for (Y6B and T1).  I wonder which of the three AFT schemes they will do on the T1.  My favorite was the first, the blue scheme from 1975.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Did he happen to say what roads would be offered in the next run of Pacifics?  I have several Kato Mikados in CNW, but no Pacifics.  That would be a welcome addition to my fleet.

At least the SPF's will have some time to save for the H10's.  I was hoping for a I1sa or a J1, but the H10's will be a welcome addition.

My wallet died. Maybe I'll start a GoFundMe and get everybody else to pay for my expensive hobby. 😁

The GG1 of steam.

I do like the idea of the T1.  It is perhaps the greatest example of the rebuilding art (they were rebuilt from consolidations).  Given they got new tenders, new drivers, new fireboxes, and seems like they must have had new boiler tubes, etc, etc, AND an extra pair of wheels on the front and a whole new 4 wheel truck on the back- one wonders if they just saved the cab and called it a rebuild to get around the war production board.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

For the SPFs like me, I did ask about when a J1 or an I1 will be released.  I have not heard back yet, but from my correspondence with him earlier in the year, those two locomotives are in the works.  It is just not clear when they will be released.

I am really interested in the Y6 and the T1.  I will definitely purchase one of each just to have them.

If enough companies do enough runs, one could have the entire big boy fleet to run…

Between brass models, Athearn and even  Con-Cor/Rivarossi, having a large fleet is already possible.  With Kato also coming out with one,we'll have glut of Big Boys.
