I mean, it's a pretty easy line to draw between no online presence and a big inventory.
Then there's MBK, whose site - at the moment - doesn't list even one Atlas N scale loco as being in stock.

While I think it is an improvement it not ground breaking by any means.  Hopefully they will delete the huge Houston we have a problem text box and make it more appealing.

Wig-Wag at shows is even a chaotic experience TBH.

@wcfn100
If you keep tabs on the CSH Youtube page, I just got access to some of Merlyn's 8mm films from the late 1960s and 1970s around Waterloo, IA... (Mostly RI and IC, but a bit of late CGW and early CNW)
Unfortunately, I don't have permission to post Bob's films..

Thanks Ian, I subscribed to the channel.  I'd love to see some of Merlyn's pictures too if you could work that out.

Not me, really.  I'm still waiting for a response to an inventory inquiry sent electronically through their website in October 2010- the form of communication that their stupid website required back then.  Eleven years and counting.  ;)

I guess I'll be the contrarian here, but their old site was kludge but at least they had stuff in stock. I've ordered a few times from Wig Wag in the last couple of years and it wasn't any more painful that ordering from N Scale Supply.

I don't care how slick your interface is if you only have what just came out of the shipping container in-stock for a week. I've got a local guy who can order that stuff for me at a good discount and I don't have to pay shipping from Maryland.

The whole reason to mess with a legacy shop is to find stuff you didn't even know you wanted when it came out.

One new style online vendor that gets it in my opinion is Midwest Model Railroad, they always have staple items (like Kato wiring components) in-stock, have aggressive prices and ship super fast.

Speaking of new websites, has anyone visited the Walthers site lately?   https://www.walthers.com/
Maybe it looks good/works well on a smartphone, but try it on a laptop/desktop.

My son is a professor at The University of Northern Iowa in Waterloo and I visit CSH every time we visit my son.  I've never been there without finding something interesting to purchase.
Best regards,

Roger
