UP has once again done what I thought impossible; this time they have managed to create a heritage loco paint scheme that immediately makes every CSX heritage unit look much better by comparison.

The critique will be that 1) white is a dominant color and 2) white is the color around the cab, where the controls are. I admire their attempt to honor the company's diversity, but think something better, a better means of recognizing diversity or just a better paint scheme, could have been had.

Well, grouping the BLM crowd with the LGBTQ crowd and every other minority group and painting ONE locomotive...... 

The 'We the people' motif with everyone working together would have been better for this cause..

Or have a loco for each group you want to recognize..

Let them each design their scheme and take ownership of the companies image?.....  That'd be cool to see...

And I think there is slightly more black than white.. but having white (vs yellow) as primary or secondary color..

“White” people aren’t white and “Black” people aren’t black. We’re all brown… just different shades from light to dark. Our ancestors all came from Africa at one time or another or remained there, and all of our ancestors have been oppressed, enslaved or been an oppressor or enslaver at some point in history. Throughout most of history, the rulers have been a very small percentage of society and the remainder were peasants, serfs, slaves, untouchables, etc… all with little to no freedom or self determination. These groups all shuffled positions in the hierarchy depending on who won or lost the last fight, battle or war… or who lived or died during the last famine or plague.

Face it… life’s a bitch… then you die.
