Ahhh.....I don't have those tank cars, but if only I had kept my MTL purchases from the 1970s in their factory packaging and never run them- probably would have paid the kids' college tuition and I'd be driving a new car. On the other hand, I've had a lot of fun running mine instead of paying an accountant to track the capital gains.
But that ad does explain why it is that I can get any number of foobie paint schemes on tank cars for $10 each, but plain old black UTLX cars are not to be found. Still, whoever paid $1126 for 5 REALLY wanted them. I can always pick up some undecs and decal my own.
