Creality 3D LD-002R thoughts?

I am considering leaping into the unknown here, these are available in NZ(where i live). I've seen a reasonably priced  Creality 3D LD-002R 3d printer - it looks to be an entry level price at $199.00 USD - they're selling them in NZ for just over $500.00 NZD. I know most of you use the Photon but what do you think of the Creality? (they also do the Ender 3).

Specs:
I can't copy and paste, they've done it as an image.
Here's the link:

I'm after what you guys think of the specs etc and anything bad or good you might have heard about it.

Thanks

Alister

The only thing I see that might be an issue is the resolution is appears to be .075mm pixel size wher the photons and others we have talked about are .050mm or smaller. The Z rail looks a little small but I like the build plate design although I don't know about the perforated build plate. Pretty much the same leveling as my mono X.

Those flexible build plate covers with the magnetic base might be cool. Just pop of the steel plate and flex it to get the parts off.

Hi Alister,

I picked up the Elegoo Mars 2 Mono here in Perth from Amazon Australia for Christmas for $257 AUD shipped, and the link below has it still for $325.99 AUD shipped:

https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07ZJH2TKR/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07ZJH2TKR&pd_rd_w=btzXv&pf_rd_p=c1d7adc4-342a-461c-887e-847da81a421c&pd_rd_wg=KGIsw&pf_rd_r=R21XQR6F1W0QJAKSMYXT&pd_rd_r=21b08a4a-63ff-4bd1-86d7-c48de7cdc505&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExMTBNNTE0NEI1UEhUJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDI5NDMzWVlBOFJIR0NFWk5UJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QVhWVEJLWVpWQ0xKNiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

This should come out cheaper than $500 NZD if shipping works to you there - pretty sure it shipped from the east coast somewhere. Might be able to snag some coupons in the next month or two, was a 20% off coupon at Christmas which seems to pop up at random times out of the blue.

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks Matt, I'll look that one up. In my earlier search the Elegoo Mars was one I was liking a lot but was just out of reach pricewise but for $257 AUD shipped it's better value than the Creality. I have found if I go direct to Creality and get it shipped from Oz that the all up price is USD 229.00 which works out to be approx 317.00 NZD. Oh.... the choices!  :D :D
