I wonder what the Other in Yellow is?  Tiger Corner?

I'm in the Northeast and I've always heard Catty Corner despite that map delineation.

The map shows plenty of cattys in the NY/NJ areas. Not so much in MA/NH.

How about this?

Growing up in MN, I had no idea.

Neither of you are from Minnesota.  Didn't you look at the map?   ;)

Eh, I don't know about that.  Have you spent much time in the Appalachia or further South?
I've heard a lot more crick than creek when in those areas.

His reminds me. The neighbor catty corner across the street has a camper out in the driveway. For Christmas he just put up a full sized mannequin up of cousin Eddie that is drinking a beer and holding a hose from the camper to the storm drain.

And I always thought it was caddy corner not catty ? At least that is the way I say it.

So Chris, you're saying in Ohio you hear it as Caddy (Catty) rather than Kitty?
This is really quite an interesting side topic.

Doubt I've ever heard the term "kitty corner" either. I've heard caddy wampus, but I'm guessing that is catty wampus.

Like when they tell you to sound out the word to spell it. Well what if you don't even know how to say it?

I have heard people say both crick and creek.

In Canada they say creek eh.   :P  I visited my uncle in UP Michigan once and by the end of the week I was ending everything with eh. They say folks from Ohio don't really have an accent.
