Life Like SW1200 locos, replacement contact strips Part II

Looked here:

https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=29216.msg312692#msg312692

And the link doesn't work. Grandson's favorite SW1200 in Erie Lackawanna colors has contact issues. Looking to replace the four corner pieces and could use some help.

Thanks.....

If you cannot find the parts or a way to hardwire, there is one in EL on flebay now.  Life-Like - SW8 Diesel Locomotive - Erie Lackawanna #365 - N Scale for a bid of $29.99.

You can order some diesel locomotive contact strips from Kato for many of there diesels.
This trips are narrow enough to work I think. (I could not find the original link either)
You could cut the Kato strip to length drill some small holes and bend to shape. Then epoxy the new strips to your loco.

Not even the wayback machine could find the info, but I did find two pictures that I believe is from the conversion (fingers crossed that the photos will work):

There used to be some drawings for this type of conversion somewhere on the web years ago but heck if I can find them now. Made out of phosphor bronze, they were a one piece contact for each side.

Yes sir. I'm one of the watchers. The contacts seem to be all there, at least the visible ones.
Thanks for the heads up.

I strips myself out of P/B and it worked great.  A tremendous improvement for the LL loco. On sheet of P/B is most likely a lifetime supply, so grab your scissors and start cutting strips .

What fun.

All,

I posted the initial message about this back about 7 years ago.

Below, from that original post, I “drew up” the part on CAD.  However, I was having difficulties trying to show that image here.  As a work around, I have sketched that drawing onto the ASCII art display with the dimensions of the part.  This is seen below.  Please excuse the crudeness of this due to the ASCII art effects with the characters.
