@garethashenden you'll get Pullman-Stadard ends and roof with the M/T model. Atlas makes several ACF prototypes that may get you closer, but you may need to work on the side sill and/or door depending on "how close" you want to get. Frank
You say you wanted to start with something close. The M/T model with ends and roof is a good start. Cut the sides out and replace with styrene sheet. The sides are plain except for the weld lines, could be replicated with a scribe line filled with a .010 x.010 strip. The door could be made with Evergreen strips as well.
I think the door is wider on the FGE car.You may have to kitbash it. You may be able to start with an InterMountain 50' AAR car and swap in a Stanray diagonal panel roof part from the Athearn NACC boxcar or Exact Rail. That looks like a 10' wide door on the prototype. I don't recall any N scale model that has a 10' wide door of that style.
