Actually to me, putting aside all the boob jokes, the new throttle to me looks like an owl.  :)

I guess that is to be expected from a guy who works the night shift.  ;)

I absolutely love mine!
I picked it up yesterday and played with last evening.
Big display (like the new Zephyr), big, backlit soft touch buttons, and the throttle knobs are So much easier to use!

Does anyone know if this would work With a NCE Powercab system? (As an additional moveable tethered throttle).

nope.  Digitrax and NCE use different throttle busses.

The TCS throttle is designed to work with both the Digitrax and NCE systems, and I think a few others. If I remember correctly, the demo at the Springfield show clinic was using a PowerCab for its DCC command station.

TCS throttle is a WiFi-based throttle. It (just like the throttle apps for iPhone and Android) will work with any DCC system which understands that protocol.

From what I understand, the TCS throttle is designed to recognize several protocols that are already established in the market, including Digitrax and NCE.  It connects through WiFi, so a computer running JMRI with a WiFi link is one way to get it to work with NCE.  But, now a third party has produced a WiFi receiver for the NCE cab bus, similar to the Digitrax LWNI.  So, the TCS throttle can now be used on either system without needing to run a computer with JMRI.

Yes, that’s the WiFitrax WFD-30.

I sent Digitrax a question regarding the 602 through social media and so far have gotten the silent treatment. Effectively I have been trying to figure out if they are going to put together an EVO like starter set with this throttle. They seem to be ignoring the question.

As a newbie to the hobby I have done a lot of research on DCC systems and while I thought Digitrax looked to be a better system with better support, I was prepared to pull the trigger on NCE due to their throttle.  The 602 got me excited cause it solved the problem. Welp, maybe it has if you already own Digitrax.  It seems if you want to build a new system around a 602 you have to either get the EVO and throw away the 500 throttle and buy the 602 separately, or you have to piece meal a system together, stepping up to the DCS240.

Either way, the 602 represents a heavy tax over NCE to for a new modeler getting into the hobby who wants an interface not steeped in the 80's.

Me thinks they haven't thought very far through this.

I’m sure you didn’t mean literally throw the 500 throttle away, because (1) you could sell it and recoup a significant chunk of money, or (2) you may quickly find that it’s nice having a second throttle around for additional operators on your layout.
