Here's the start of my layout's beginnings.

It'll be built as a modular layout so if we have to move we can disassemble it pack it and move it.

And 3 levels

Level 1
Staging

Level 2
Rural town, small industry scene with fall color tree scenes.

Level 3
Mountains, streams, bridges, coal mine off the main line. Several truck load outs. Fall color variety tree's.

Here's a couple of pics of an ho ranch house I'm scratch building basing it off a 1968 era atlas vintage n scale ranch house.

Not exactly sure which region I'll be modeling.

As I don't live there.

Used to deliver to many consignees in the region when I drove cross country truck.

Here's the latest update on the house.

Added some L channel for mounting the walls to each other.

One photo shows the front room window I had to fabricate as I couldn't find a close match so built my own frame.

Added a sill trim strip to somewhat match the rest of the window frames.

Plus an early dry fit of a couple of walls still working out the measurements as it might have a stepped roof.

Enjoy.

So is this house going to have a long driveway for truck parking?

With some space issues I had to tear down the 2 modules I had as I messed both up when I built them.

The Indian Rock Railway is my freelanced road that actually dates back to the early 1980's

I began the IR as the IR&W loosely based off the BN as paint schemes changed over the years until I decided to relocate it West Virginia.

Headquartered out of Indian Rocks Beach in Florida and decided a new version of the railways history dating back to before the Civil War.

Updated back story soon I hope.

So did a little more work on the house getting the back wall going.

Made a window frame for the kitchen area.

Then cut a smaller window that I found in my Tichy window grab box that works out pretty good for the throne room lol.

Just need to add one more window on the back in the bedroom then can start working on the interior.

Here's the pics enjoy.
