That's interesting. A well placed member in the PRRT&HS just responded not 60 minutes ago to a question if BLI had any N-Scale steam projects and the answer was "Not currently, but we're always asking..."  It may well be they haven't consulted the PRRT&HS as they already have the J1, I1 and H10 in HO and presumably all the research needed.  I hope that's the case. I would be interested several copies of all three engines.  Plus the J1 could become a C&O T1 which is another interest of mine.

Lol I was the one who asked that question in that email.

Here’s hoping.  I emailed them about the M1 when it was released and was told the T1 was next, and it happened.  So, I’m optimistic.  I’d were the bread and butter on the mountain.

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Would love to see a C&O T-1.  The NKP didn't have any 2-10-4's, but I'm sure I can find a rationale for having a couple on the layout!

John C.

During the late 50s, it was quite common to see a J1 in Bellevue slipping through switches by Wheeling tower, and past the NKP depot on the PRR Sandusky branch. I think there's one or two photos of it in the Morning Sun NKP books.

I asked too, a little while before you did.  But Bruce didn't answer until you asked.  Sometimes I think I'm invisible on certain mailing lists.  I'm just glad he answered, even if it wasn't the answer I wanted.  I hope it's just that BLI didn't ask for help since they had HO versions already.

If they did an ATSF 5011 2-10-4 they could sell a 2 pack with a J-1 and a 5011 as a Sandusky Branch 1956 starter set!

I'd be up for a LIRR G5, Reading T1, and NYC J3a Hudson. :)

I'd be up for at least 6 Reading T1's.

Let Ken know every chance you get.  It may happen.

As an update, the BLI rep emailed and said he is guessing early 2022 for the J1.  So about two years off, but still.something to look forward to.

Combined with the time to wait on a review, plenty of time to put money aside for the purpose.

That's interesting news... But you know what's coming next.  What about the other models mentioned?  The I1 and the H10?

Congratulations SPF’s!

I can't imagine BLI would do a J1 without a C&O T1 so hopefully congratulations to C&O fans as well.  Now to get a non-brass H8 Allegheny!
