How about the operating ceiling fan (in the barber shop?). Or didn't you have a working box-fan in a window? Then there was the excavator . . .

Amazing stuff.

Something I'd like to see in this category would be an actual rotating upper mars light in an F-unit, like Santa Fe had.  The barber pole makes me think it might be feasible.  Of course keeping it lighted would add to the challenge.
