Thanks for your comments @perezbill and @glakedylan !  I used Fasttracks paper templates for the switches, but did use the PointForm tool to make the frogs and points.

Here is some progress on the factory; doors and drainage are now in place, as are some HVAC units on the roof.

I also finished the truck bay, which fits just right with some temporary "concrete" parking lot.  Second picture shows I am having some backdrop challenges, so don't look too closely there

I ballasted the siding over the weekend, and am now working on the concrete pad for the semi trailers:

Those for sale signs are hard to beat for this type of thing. Do You might want to sand it down though, just to avoid issues with the printed finish.

You are not wrong @Ed Kapuscinski , a little 400 and 600 grit sanding took care of the lettering.  I scored some expansion joints and primed it with some Stynelrez (love that stuff).  Concrete color is next!

What are you using for concrete color?  My last can of Testor's Light Aircraft Gray is empty.  :(

@davefoxx , my go-to base color is Tamiya Deck Tan.  You can then age with wash and/or pigments to your taste.

This is a pretty good reference that turned me on to the Tamiya color:

Thank you @LIRR !  I finished the concrete parking lot with some brown oil wash and glued in in place.  It could use some pastel weathering and tire marks added for sure.

I also laid some ballast and basic ground cover.  I need to add a ground throw to the siding switch, as well as install steps to the personnel door and some unloading hoses to finish out this industry...

It's funny, I always recall the NH&I as the steam tourist train they run (and I've ridden) on the weekends.  Your layout reminds me that it also works for a living during the week.

Splendidly executed.

@wm3798 I appreciate your comments!  You're correct that the line becomes very rural north of the industrial park I am modeling.  I would love to include that, maybe someday with more room, time, and energy LOL.

@Philip H you are correct sir; the "contractors" are working on stairs and railing as we speak...

Can't decide if I love the superelevation at 3:00 or the jogger going around the tank cars more.
