My wish list is in 1:220...
-Trinity 5161 Covered Hoppers
-Maxi-IV 3-Unit Doublestacks
-C44-9W's
-53/57 Spine Cars

And about 2-3 dozen other freight cars.  But if I could get the above, I'll manage.

More trucks with lowered bolster arms, preferably available in bulk packs and without wheelsets to save some $.

Most of my wish list has already been mentioned. Different tank cars , maybe something not built by ACF. Different dome arrangements , high walkway etc.

Older boxcars like Fowler cars or clones.

I’d like to see Steam mechanisms that can fit under a variety of shells , for example a manufacturer builds a 4-6-4 mech and offers boiler shells And tender shells for CNW, MILW, RI etc.

Maybe that time is coming. I don’t have a problem building what I want , I feel like I’m more and more in a minority of model railroaders because I love kitbashing, painting etc.

Real acid and sulpher tank cars to replace the old MDC tooling foobies.

5161 body styled 2 bay hoppers

Weathered locomotives offered by manufacturers like some are now doing with freight cars

More large industry based structures - are you listening WK Walthers?

I'll second this one. I'm currently putting lipstick on a pig (Bachmann F9) to make a manufacturer make one

As I've noted before, this is the only locomotive I can think of where a major manufacturer markets a B unit, but not the A unit, for a particular F- Intermountain catalogs the F-9B to go with their FP-9, but makes no F-9A.
https://www.intermountain-railway.com/n/nloco/nlocfP9.htm

Given that IM doesn't actually produce a substantial percentage of what they catalog, I am surprised they've never added the F-9A to the line, since it would not commit them to making it, and who knows, they might get enough pre-orders to put one out in 10 or 20 years.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Here’s a new one I’d like to add: the Santee Cooper Portec coal gondolas. They make for quite the unique train. Not the best view of them, but it’s better than nothing.

Another N&W steam video popped Up in my recommend YouTubes and got me thinking. You only need 3 types of steam locomotives to model the mid 50s on the N&W. Since Bachmann already make the J and they hit the EM-1 out of the park, why don’t they put everything they learned in the 2-8-8-4 in an N&W A and an updated Y6b? I love the WM, but I’d cash out in a heartbeat if I could double head a Y6b and an A that looks and runs as good as the EM-1.

Just a thought.

If someone made brass sides for the Kato shells, I'd even take that in place of a fully tooled F9.

I've been working around these engines my entire life and the only way I can tell the difference is by looking on the FRA card or in places you cannot see.

If the only external difference is an extra set of carbody vents, Archer models makes decals to add these. I've seen dozens of fan variations and different rooftop changes but unless you have a very specific engine it would be alot of work regardless.

A Class A is basically the last steam locomotive that I want/need in N scale, outside of never-going-to-happen fantasies like a (moderately priced) Outside Frame D&RGW Mikado.  Bachmann clearly found their niche doing finely-detailed, high-quality steam.  I really hope they have an A on the drawing board.

Molten sulfur tank cars (Atlas or Athearn) and GP50s (Fox Valley)
