And painted.. well mostly. Needs some touchups but that's happening when it goes on a layout.

Really nice bash.  I love the simplicity of DPM kits... they give you all sorts of possibilities to mix and match.

All the best!

Is there a process for glass to degrade back into sand?
.... actually I was just reading an article that the natural way to recycle glass is to let it wear back into sand.. (like in the ocean)

Sea glass!  But it takes a while- a looooooong while- to make it naturally.

The DKS collection will be in Egg Harbor again  this  weekend if you need anything else.

At the 4-H again?  Sat and Sun or just Sat?

Yes sir. We are on the NMRA open house list. Hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday (I will have to check that), and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday.

Yes, but I think it's only in the ocean though. In order to break down it basically needs to be constantly moved around by currents. It's basically degradation by slowly rubbing sandpaper randomly along the bottle over a few years.

Yeah, like sea-glass.   :)

Otto: Love that line, lived in Wenatchee and saw the old line, some track, roadbed and bridges near
Vantage and Beverly near the Columbia River.

Took some time to lay out some cork for West Cressona. It's not glued down yet because I wanted to "see it" to make sure I can life with the radii.

This is why we still use cork.

OK, I'll try an race through 25 posts. I made more progress, so hopefully by the weekend I can post photos. Yes, im the same caboose Robert Ray, been out of the game too many years, but am retired now.
If you see it, get it, for tomorrow it may be gone!
Oh, and most importantly...NEVER do today what can safely be sloughed off till tomorrow!

Finally got to meet @arbomambo and see his work up close at the inaugural Gulf Coast MRR Museum show today:

(Attachment Link)

It was a DISTINCT pleasure finally getting to meet (face-to-face) with Phillip!

As soon as we packed up, headed home, unpacked, and put all the train away, we loaded the dogs and drove 8 hours to Marshall, TX., where we began our chase of the Big Boy the next morning!
