Got my back to back reversing sections wired up to reconnect Spring Grove and we got a fully functioning layout again.

Now I can JFRTM all over the layout

Ya, they try to keep the "Artists"  :x at bay here.
My company was located just one block behind this building about a dozen years ago.   The Milwaukee Fire Departments Repair shops are a block down the street behind and to the right.   And the Summerfest Grounds are six blocks, straight ahead.
Wow, I miss sitting out front of work on Water street, during lunch.  Watching all the chicks heading to that summer's Summerfest...  :(

We're well into October now.  Spooky things are lurking.

Here's some new 3D printed seasonal characters!

Sure do love the little train shows. One just never knows what little gems one will find. My severely limited budget could afford this. Previously watched: $1.

Buffering...

Cool stuff Mark!

Thanks Pete.  And no tricks this time either.
Wait till I hook up the smoke unit to pulse out of the reapers robes!

I decided to give them a semi-permanent home on a module and began scratch building an old abandoned stone house to set in the middle of the woods somewhere.

A cab I've wanted to do for awhile, the GP60 & 59 "Aero" cab. This is the GP59 version.

First stage of decal application completed on the RS-3s.   Lots of very fiddly line work to do next.  Also did some weathering of the handrails and pilots on 565 which immediately reduced the over-scale appearance nicely, so that effect will be applied to 571 too.

The different road number fonts is a nice prototype variation based on prototype photos.  Microscale fortunately provides a selection of different fonts on their decal sheet matching these variations.

Looking good!  I am hoping to receive mine back at the Chilliwack Show next weekend.

We were fortunate that they were receptive to suggestions from Greg and I when compiling the set.  Even the small 8" logo which was only applied to 561, but is also useful for company vehicles.  Just the other day, while looking for something else,  I came across our notes and sketches for what to include in the set, which must date from the early 1990s.

Looking great Andy.  Many years ago, under the auspices of the old BC Rail Historical & Technical Society, forerunner of the PGE-BCR Sig, I was asked by Jim Moore to critique Microscale's artwork for the two-tone green BCR diesels.  By the time I was finished, I had ripped it to shreds so badly that I felt obliged to provide them with artwork based on a combination of photographs and field measurements.  That is why the set includes so many font variations, multiple sizes of the BCR logogram (including the 8" x 32" version used on some highway vehicles and one of the ex-LS&I RS-3s) and three different arrangements of the lightning stripe.

Cheers,
Greg

Operated at @mu26aeh 's layout today. A little Front End Friday on a Saturday. CSX power on the main, my Rock power on the first yard track, and @Ed Kapuscinski 's CR buttheads.

I added window shades and some passengers to my BLI P70's recently. I love the difference it makes in appearance. I also picked up a two more P70 "refurbs" from BLI, bringing the total to 6.
