Does Fox Valley still offer the version that has the screw mounts?  The shank had a flat plate with two holes drilled in it...  They're nice because you can make them swivel side to side without flopping up or down in a body mount situation.

Yup, and there is also another body mount version that only has one hole but whiskers to center back in the coupler box. My Thrall high side gons came with them, not sure if they are used on any other cars

To get the old coupler out you may be able to cut the coupler from the shank, then the shank portion should drop out.  Of course, you couldn't reuse the old coupler, but on these, I don't think anyone would want to.
