Yeah, those end cages, stirrups, brake wheel and rivet details certainly aren't up to par with today's standards of a "Master Line" model.

When is Atlas going to rebrand its N Scale line as a Walthers Jr Line?

Ugh... I was afraid of this.

Why not call it Trainman? Or Classic? Nothing Master about this.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Trying to recoup the funds they spend on the tooling purchase?

don't get me wrong  - a lot of useful tooling - and the deco is first rate - but really...

To be honest, the 1:1 sight glass is pretty much flush with the door surface, so a painted on sight-glass in N scale is more to scale than one molded into the door.    :D

I decided a while back to ignore the Atlas Master/Classic/Trainman nomenclature and judge each model on it's own.

The Trainman line has a few top notch models (The C&O Caboose and the ACF 50'6 box for example), and now the Master line has some Trainman type models

It's a crazy mixed up world!

Glad to see these return, they can call it what they want, it’s the price that seems rather high.
I’m not here to argue
