Let's make a wish list for Jeff Briggs. Talk about everything you think would be a good product idea.

GP9 pIII for the Atlas GP9
CF-7 for a modified Atlas GP15
NW-5
U18B for the Atlas GP7/9
U30, 33, 36B for the Atlas U23B
U23, 33, 36C for the Kato U30C
C30-7A, C36-7, C32-8 for the Kato C30-7

19k gallon corn syrup cars
13-15k gallon acid tanks
25k gallon UTLX general purpose tanks
Comet II/Horizon commuter cars

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Jeff has done the CP Miniboxes and Kaslo Shops has done the Fowler cars.

I have mentioned the Marine Industries welded slab side hoppers to Geoff Gooderham as it would be a fairly easy adaptation of his existing riveted side ones.  The welded side cars would be good for CP and PGE.

My wish list includes the Procor built pressure flow hoppers and Van Iron chip cars.

Being a CR modeler the C30-7A would be awesome.  The  U30B, and U33B would be most welcome as well.

Yes, yes Jeff has already done the minibox, and it's a beautiful model. I don't know if there any around, but maybe Central Hobbies still has some.

This Geoff Gooderham fellow has also done the Fowler boxcar, also known as the Dominion Boxcar, if you are thinking of the 36' outside bracer boxcar of which thousands upon thousands were built in Canada in the early 1900's. It's a resin kit, mostly assembled, and definitely available at Central. This kit is a little more "gritty" than the Kaslo kit which I found to be too neat and tidy to represent the nature of the prototype. It's a serviceable kit, but not as good as what Briggs could do, if he was so inclined.

Also available is the Dominion Stockcar version. Thousands of boxcars were converted to stock cars in later years. And the "12 man sleeper"; an M of W conversion.

As Tim alludes, the slab side hopper is has also been done by this Geoff guy. This is a pre 1958 version, with the 6 rectangular roof hatch ribbed roof, and the 8 round hatch smooth roof option is also available from Central. You need to cobble together a etched running board for this car as it's not included in the kit (also mostly pre assembled), but that's not too difficult. Black Cat Decals makes the correct decals for this car. Again Jeff would do a better job, but...

Actually ,  when I wrote that, I was thinking of Fowler clones that were built in the 20's that the Rio Grande , Soo  Line, and other US roads had.
Also, what about a AS-616  for a Atlas  RSD4/5 mechanism ?

I left one important item off my wish list - the 1950s steel refrigerator cars built by NSC for CN, CP and PGE.  There is a big hole in my roster for those right now.

I could use a GP9 phase III (of the 300 or so that N&W bought, about 200 were ph III)

Ooh, Tim, good one! Would that be the 8 hatch overhead bunker? I'd be in for a few of those.

Comet II/Horizon commuter cars

Which Phase III GP9?

For a Phase III GP9 with 36" fans and air tanks mounted on the long-hood end of the fuel tank, this can be done with an Atlas Phase II GP9 with a new sill/walkway part that has the fuel filler located closer to the cab.

For a Phase III GP9 with 48" fans and air tanks mounted on the long hood end of the fuel tank, this can be done with a Life-Like/Walthers/future Atlas? GP18 with new radiator grills and fans.

For a Phase III GP9 with air tanks mounted under the walkway, either the Atlas Phase II GP9 or Life-Like, et al GP18 will need new walkway/sills and fuel tanks
