Well, I spent a couple of days of my free time to work on the backdrops around Keenbrook. I find screening out the detail in photoshop emphasizes color, hue and texture. It also helps me select colors of foliage on the layout adjacent to the backdrops. I sent it to the printer today, 30' lineal feet of it; keeping my fingers crossed. Samples below...Otto
Umm, purchased for recreational consumption.
Cajonpassfan: Did you report that encounter to the authorities? Even if you didn't want to admit to being on the railroad property, an anonymous tip about a possible illegal garden could be useful. Not to mention possible saving a railroad worker some grief. I doubt that the local would distinguish between railfans and railroaders.
I took some more photos this afternoon; playing around with light angles and such (these are taken inside - the module has it's own lighting and I had another lamp I was moving around to get different shadow angles). Some of these are better than others, but I'm pretty happy with them considering they're taken with my phone. I need to get a helicon focus program......
@altohorn25 , Yup. HF Pro Unlimited was one of my best model railroading purchases way back when. Price has come down since then. Although there are other focus stacking programs out there, my experience is that HF is the most versatile and gives the best results.By the way, nice shots. Camera settings and lens info please. Merry Christmas!Bob Gilmore
