MBK weirdness your OLD orders may have disappeared...

Just visited one of my pushers, attempted to login at MBK and was told I HAD to change my password. Followed that guidance and then was told I have never ordered from them before - which is absolutely incorrect.

Yet another case of idiot coders on a cookie cutter website. Better check your account with them before your orders disappear.

Seriously.

Kind regards,
Bill

No problems here, and I literally just placed my third order in a week just a couple of hours ago.

Have you ordered recently ?  I know some had issues with the website changeover.

If you had not ordered since the new website went "live" (February), the new website has more rigorous password requirements - this will force you to reset the password.

I’ve had no problems. I’ve made three orders in the last 2 weeks.

My order arrived yesterday (11-03-2018); it was placed Monday 10-29-2018.  I did not set a new password and simply signed in as a guest, same as earlier order in September.  MBK emailed confirmation of order, then tracking info, and finally confirmation of delivery.  The order was very securely packed.  There was no damage.  The new release MTL  freight cars are a welcome addition to my N scale trains.  If your password is no longer working, try signing in as a guest.  Yes, I continue getting emails noting sales and new item notifications from MBK/ ModelTrainStuff.

Hi Folks

No problems (yet) for me since the changeover. I've placed multiple orders, the latest of which was placed on Nov 2 using my regular member password. Received email today that it's been shipped...

Reset my password as asked. Now all my past orders have disappeared. I would assume that the new site might have changed the PK and lost my past orders. I wanted to look up something from an earlier order and can no longer do it.

Bad coding...

Any orders before the switch over are lost so you won't be able to see anything you've ordered in the past.  Might be a good thing if you don't want to know how much you've spent on this hobby.  :)  I keep paper copies of all my MRR invoices.  So much for the digital age when paper trumps it sometimes.  :D

For whatever reason (MBK is a small company) - the (old) order history did not carry over to the new website.

You can still get your order history from MBK if you need it - you'll need to contact customer service.

I have all the emails for all of my orders going way back (MBK always sends a confirmation email), so I am good as far as that goes.

Oh?  How do they satisfy your request, say if you want all your orders from the old system?  Do they send you PDFs or?

I got a response today from MBK tech support.

"Unfortunately, in the migration to the new website the order history from the old website did not carry over."

Kind regards,
Bill

They seem to be backlogged on orders. I have had a standing order for about a week without shipment.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away
