The cover shot was taken by Railwire member Chris Dittmar  and is related to the DCC Workshop Article.  Digital lighting for locomotives is just one of many topics we hope to cover in this new series of articles.

Chris I remember your article on the SD40-2 and I also remember it didn’t include your secret on how you lit the post mounted ditch lights. For years I have been making mine, including post mounted, by casting a small LED in clear epoxy but man what a pain. What did you do there?
