CJM413:  Modifying the body tabs is exactly what I did on FVM's Soo Line boxcars.  The floor was about the right height for mounting couplers, and changing that would be a big pain.  So, I carved out the stops in the body, glued in new styrene strips, and it sits at the right height.  The underframe details now sit too far into the car, but they're not easily seen anyway, as long as the car is on the track.

OK, they certainly show on that car!  They aren't nearly that obvious in most pictures, probably because the background is darker.

That car is certainly a survivor.  It's been reweighed, but other than that, and the lube plates, the lettering is original.

That's good. I hope they are doing some new tooling but I really hope they do more shemes on the 4427. Nobody has even scratched the surface on all the possibilities yet.

Meh. ExactRail's new release is too late in era for me, again. The one car I could really use, the 4427, is nowhere to be found. I just don't understand ER's hestitancy to release new schemes.

No surprise. I guess they must think there is a market for them. I see they're offering bulk discounts like they did with the HO version for guys who wanted to build unit trains. Burning question - if you buy a bulk deal, how many unique numbers do you get?

Still disappointed they haven't done the GSC flat. But likelihood of that is "never" since the motivator behind that particular project was one of the N skeptics and happens to be no longer with ER.

No worries on WKW ever running them again but COMPLETELY agree on the other 3. I have the whole Morning Sun Series on Private owner cars and my lord there are a bunch of 4427 schemes that haven't even been touched in HO. Someone need to break the logjam with those.
