WM Specialists... tell me about their GP7s

I'm a sucker for Chessie geeps and I just grabbed myself one of these:
https://www.modeltrainstuff.com/atlas-master-line-n-40003129-emd-gp-7-chessie-system-wm-5951-nce-decoder-equipped/

I was under the impression that all of WM's GPs had gotten their noses chopped but that was clearly not the case.

What's the story?

Ex-C&O GP9

Haha, you know, I had THOUGHT that might've been the case. I remembered there being a thing about that but was fuzzy on the details.

Since I wanted to hedge my bets, I got the other two too. They were sold out online but I got the floor models.

Yeah.. the C&O "traded" some of their worn out shitboxes to the WM roster as the WM's fleet of well maintained engines got redistributed over the Cheesie system.   More of the red haired stepchild treatment doled out by the clods of Cleveland.

Model is GP9, don't know why MB Klein refers to it as a GP7....

WM originally had only four or six GP-7s; I forget which.  None of them had dynamic brakes.  Supposedly it ordered four or six of the GP-7s and four of the RS-2s to see if it liked ALCo or EMD power better.  It liked EMD better, but could not get as much as it wanted, so it did wind up with four FA-2s and more than a few RS-3s (I forget how many).  It did have a large number of F-7s as well as the GP-9s, when they appeared.  If it ever had any RS-11s, never have I seen a photograph of one.

The dynamic brakes were a dead giveaway that these were locomotives transferred from the C&O.

Originally, B&O did not have any dynamic brake GP-7s, either.  It did, however, have torpedo boat GP-7s.  WM never had any torpedo boats.  If C&O ever had any torpedo boats, never have i seen a photograph of one.

Both WM and C&O had Phase I GP7's:

C&O transferred some GP7's to CSS, but none went to B&O and/or WM
