Thank you Gary. It has taken me a very long time to get these to look half decent.I have watched lots of DVDs on painting backdrops and these sort of trees.More to do once our weather warms up a bit as we head into spring.Rod.
The trees do look amazing, as well as the rest of your layout. Is there a particular DVD you can recommend? I plan on giving my backdrop a go with hand painting as well. I've found a few good videos on youtube but they don't really cover everything involved. ~Dennis
There are two DVD's I purchased many years ago. One is:- Easy Backdrop Painting Mountains and Valleys. Number two is:- Painting California Foothills and Forests. Both purchased from Pacific Video Distributors (Darryl Huffman) 12020 Old Seward Highway Anchorage Alaska 99515.
Darryl has moved down to the 48 somewhere now. He is somewhat active on the weatheringtechniques@groups.ioYou could post a note on there to get a hold of you I did find his youtube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1J2Ord8fgo3yR6veiI7b_g/videosHis blog http://ghosttownmodels.blogspot.com/
