Fantastic work I really like your water tank and the background behind it. The last time I went through Cimmaron with it being that green there was "range maggots" (sheep) everywhere.

Been doing quite a bit to the Monarch Branch since lock down on kit building and scenery.
Here are a few shots of progress as of two days ago.

Looks really nice!
I love the dirt work/landscaping. What is the distance from track to backdrop?

The bench work in this area is just over 30cm or 12 inches but wider of course around the corner. The track is slightly closer to the front so about 20cm or 8 inches from the backdrop.

I love the mining scene and the powder magazine is spot on for many of the old ones I have explored. Were the headframe, hoist house, and ore bin built from a kit? There is a lot of depth to that shot for it to be less than a foot.

Yep built from a very old Campbell Models Kit purchased S/hand, the Silver Spur Mine. I believe they may still be available.

I wanted to add a flour mill to my town of Montrose which is on the new peninsular so chose to scratch build the Graden Flour Mill that was in Durango.
Good friend Peter gave me a drawing of the front elevation and I have used this to obtain all of the dimensions I could to build it as close to the prototype as possible.
This is where I am up to at the moment.

A little more work on an additional lean-to on the right hand side and I'll call it done.
Plus the addition of a sign or two.

We are in lock-down phase two here in Melbourne so spent the last week scratch building Montrose Lumber.
Here it is sitting waiting for the weather to warm up so I can start with scenery.
A few more scratch building projects, D&RGW water tank kit to build and waiting for a depot kit to arrive to fill this town.
