Sometimes a picture just grabs you. This picture of Indian Creek Bridge did it for me:
http://cjb77.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3239810
It's at a remote location at the far end of the B&O Sand Patch line near Connellsville.
So why T track? It's a double track location. Plus, I don't have the space for a complete layout and there's a fairly prolific local group of T trackers. There are maybe three of four public running opportunities a year.
Details to come.

There's also an abandoned bridge in the rear. I've only found two photos of it, though.

Not only that, an old topographical shows there used to be a wye! With a tower!

Looks like it will be a good one Aaron, it'll be fun to follow along!
Too bad the sweeping curve in the track and bridge won't be possible with unitrak, unless you have a plan for that?

I've drawn the bridge.
Only the edges will be unitrack. The rest will be flex.

I like it!
TTRAK is a format that has had some really great stuff done in it, and it'll be fun to see more of it.

I've mocked up the module! The dimensions are four feet by 13 inches. I had to play around with the rear tracks a little, but the approximate final location is where the unitrack is located. The black square is roughly where the tower will go. As tempting as a real wye is, the rear tracks will just be dummy tracks. There's not enough room.
I imagine a steep hill on the left and right rear corners. The left wye track is still in use, but the right wye track is a little overgrown and fades into the trees.

A quad t-trak module is 48 3/4" or as some t-trak module mfgr's cut it, 48.74". Unless you plan to build a module that can be used opposite this one, it needs to be 48.74 or 48 3/4" in length. Remember that the unitrack has to be straight when it leaves the edge. I would use the 62mm double track straight 20-042 or the terminal 20-043. This makes sure that the track is at the 33mm center line when it leaves the module. Remember to wire it blue/white/white/blue to be with the t-trak electrical specs.

Didn't know that about the length. Thanks. I could use the extra 3/4" anyway.

Aaron, you can find the sizes of the t-trak modules on the NTRAK.org site under the t-trak heading. 13' deep is a good depth, you cannot exceed 14 3/8" for the depth. You can also look at the web sites for T-trak kits and MasterPieceModules for the sizes of the various t-trak modules. Have fun. Craig

Yeah, I've been to the t-trak.org website. I just overlooked that the length is based on 310mm multiples.
Construction will be a challenge. My thinking is that with the river so low the best way to build it is, in effect, upside down from normal. What normally is the top board is now the river, and the retaining stone wall becomes the front edge construction-wise.
The creek is my top concern right now. With the creek dissecting the module I'm concerned about it flexing. But I do have two large bridges that could hide something like aluminum supports. I'm currently trying to see if this is feasible.

Here's kind of what I had in mind.
The orange line in the rear would most likely be flat stock underneath the creek. The rest are probably square stock.

Or perhaps some small diameter rod stock...might be able to hide that under the scenery.
