Was going to show a similar photo showing off my new Trainworx cattle hauler at the Bealville ranch along with a snarky comment to MR's Jim Kelly that said trailers were not all that hard to find...His current column caused me to slap my forehead wondering why I'd not gotten one of these...then to promptly go to ebay and get one.

But then a shutoff valve in the kitchen above malfunctioned and flooded the kitchen, and you guessed it, the main room containing the Bealville ranch.  You can see the trailer at an odd angle and other damage in the vicinity.

This image shows the other side of the peninsula.  Thus far, the ceiling tile must be replaced and the laminate floor as well, along with some drywall, and God knows what else they will find after things have dried out tomorrow.  Fortunately the contractor whose guy last touched that valve - no one can figure out HOW it happened - is responsible and insured.

I've been working on UP items.
I just got my other b unit for my COLA motive power. Not i just need to add the decals to LA-6.
I've also been working on a Union Pacific MT but I'm not horribly happy with it.

No its a stripped concor hudson body that is lengthened with a kato mikado smoke box and a resin cab.
Thanks richie, it doesn't seem just right to me. It just doesn't look as spot on as id hoped for at this point.

Completed my horse loading platform. Found these Noch horses on eBay. They were perfect for race horses.

Tender number 3 for my old roundhouse 2-6-0. The original one I was never happy with, so I scratchbuilt a new one that was ok at best. I ended up putting the locomotive away and forgot about it. Fast forward to last week, I found it when I was going through some older stuff I don't run much, and decided to take a crack that retrofitting yet another tender.

This is just one of the Bachmann short tenders. Of course the motor was too long to fit under the coal bunker, so I made the little cover for the back of the motor and the flywheel. Ultimately I plan on adding some hinge detail to make it look like a extremely large tool box. Overall I'm happy with it, and I'm glad to have it back on the roster.

Mike:  Or, if not a very large toolbox, how about a doghouse for the brakeman?

In the opening picture, I wonder if the turntable itself was lengthened?  If it originally turned shorter, probably tank, locos, they could have stretched it for the larger ones.  It looks like it may now be part of a museum operation.

Even back then the turntable's configuration was a bit unusual (but interesting).  It opens up an interesting modeling possibility other than the typical roundhouse located at a stub end of a line.

I wonder what the item below the turntable is? Looks like a transfer table, but it seems way too short for that.

I also noticed (on the modern version) yellow wheel stops at one end of the bridge.  So the locomotives cannot be turned around on it.

It can't pull in on one track, turn around and exit the same track. But it can pull in the far track turn around and leave the near track and that would change the direction of the loco out on the mainline.

Sure can be turned. That table only turns approximately 120 degrees but once they spin it they can come off at the track you see there in the right foreground. That track leads out to the mainline.

Talk about thinking out of the box um circle!!!  :D
