why are there lights in the middle of the track .. mainly around turnouts, but some other random places?

Looks like they might be sensors related to the signaling system. Many of them seem to located near signals. Might be invisible to the naked eye, but picked up by the digital camera.

Is Bellevue where you live?
What’s the link between Bellevue and PRR and you’re layout
I know the PRR ran through Bellevue
Just curious ...
Do you live there?
I ask b/c I am in the middle of planning my version 2 model of the nkp through Bellevue
