A completely different animal after rebuilding, which took so long it killed one one the rebuilders. Above the corners of the sides is a completely different layout in regards to the fans and roof panels which would preclude the FL9 model from representing it... save for a foobie... not sure how Jason would feel about it.http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1546463Sad really... should have been a pioneering project that would have seen more units rebuilt but as it was it was an example of what not to do when it comes to contracting out work. The rebuilder, Republic Locomotive Works, suffered two failures about that time, their other premiere project a Cummins powered rebuild that couldn't pull itslef out of a yard let alone cars. Was an early Cat-rebuilder but decisions made left it without much of a standing... while the name survives its a good bit different of a company compared to what it use to be.
They should do those NP wooden boxcars in N, but you know. With smaller board gaps
