Trainworx has a beverage tractor and trailer available now!

The email announcing this release states "these won't last".

I'm not usually one to complain about prices, given the level of detail and being limited run; but damn.
Sweet trailer nonetheless.

Yep.  And why I won't be buying one.

Don't get me wrong - these Trainworx trucks are a welcome addition the N Scale universe, and I still want the Duel Tanker in my group, along with a couple of the custom paints for TRW members who are or were truckers.  And I am buying trailers here and there to populate the layout.  But this is a price factor too far.

Sadly I agree. I know it's going to be an amazing model, and I'd love to add one (or more) to the layout, but I just can't justify the expense, especially with the usd/gbp exchange rate as it is.

Cheers,

Kev

Really excellent truck, but the price I agree is just way too high. I don't know how his freight car sales have been but it seems he's slowed down quite bit on announcing them lately. He does have the 2 Hy cube boxcars in the line up of which it's good see an ICG quad door. But other than that and the caboose not as much as he's done before.

While everyone's complaining about the MRSP price and "HARD TO GET TO" flyer
Here's an image to save everyone a click & PDF download.

No one has mentioned anything about the other item Pat has released in this same announcement.
Here's a snip from his email:

Quote
Trainworx is pleased to announce an all new N scale coupler conversion and N scale beverage truck.

The new N #621 body mount magnetic coupler fits all Precision Master / Red caboose covered hoppers.  You can now upgrade your old covered hoppers to the new Fox Valley Models operating standards with these coupler conversions.  These conversions are completely assembled with brake gear detail and are so simple to install.  Conversions come in natural gray, light gray, light tan, yellow, orange/yellow, orange, red, brown, green, and black.

Ordered mine already!
For those of you complaining about the price, I hear Bachmann has a GP40 for around $40...  :ashat:

Could there be a N Vehicle Collector's market that these releases are targeted to?

I'd just like to see the modern UPS stuff done again....

I guess we have different opinions on what is too much. I had no qualms spending around $1500 each for few brass locos (few decades ago when dollar was worth more), but a $65 plastic tractor-trailer set is a bit much.

I've been wanting to get a UP heritage CNW unit, lately, whenever one comes up on ebay they go for 300+. So someone will pay 60 for beer truck.

I got the email. but hadn't yet looked at the PDF.  I was hoping it was a "beverage truck". the small, roll-up side door, delivery trailers.  Fortunately, the PB 370 is far too new for my era, so I don't have to worry about the price.

...and it's not even good beer :D

Otto,
much preferring the real Budweiser, from Budweis...
But the truck is cool.
