Must be an affluent community. All the buildings are exceptionally well maintained, and even the railroad ROW is well groomed with not a speck of trash or overgrown weeds in sight.  ;)

Before getting to far along with that scene, I'd recommend you replace those two button head screws in the wall with countersunk flat heads.

Painted and weathered the warehouse building....I was going for the peeling-white-painted-corrugated steel with rust streaks/spots look. Almost ruined it by over doing the weathering. I salvaged it by over-spraying with the original gray base color to soften the weathering effects. Wood rails over the doors are too dark and need some work....end windows still covered by masking tape...

It’s almost impossible to over-weather something unless the degree & type of weathering doesn’t match the area you’re modeling. For example, a muddy, rusted, moss & kudzu covered building in a southwestern desert scene.

Great looking building!

finished the log conveyors.....not sure if it's appropriate for a smallish facility in the early 1960s, but I think it works....

Who cares if it’s “appropriate” when it looks that good. Very nice.

Well done.  You painted it "Equipment Green" and everything.
