I don't have any factual info that these are Kobo Custom units, but going by the past releases of Kato sound-equipped locos and also by Kelley mentioning machined cavity for the speaker enclosure these sure seem to be custom-made.  But I can't find any info about these models on the Kato USA site. Maybe @nightmare0331 can tell us whether these these are in fact Kobo Custom models.

Is that a full size select in those E5s?

It is funny to see that all these Kobo Custom models are being built by a person with an Irish-sounding name.
Wouldn't it make more sense to call these Shamrock Custom by Leprechaun Model Works?

I finally got around to getting this. There is simply no parallel to how great this model sounds compared to the other sound models I've heard. Never have I heard such a rumble from any other sound model. At full volume, it's sure to set your heart racing like the real thing ! Weighs a hefty 4.79 oz. Lighting features include a headlight, blinking mars light and illuminated number boards that come on with the head light. Runs great at all speeds.

I completely agree. I just took mine out of the box this week and it was amazing!
